Many of our guests come to Chico simply to relax, dine in the restaurants, soak in the hot springs and maybe
go for a leisurely hike through Emigrant Gulch. Everyone else asks "what's there to do?"
The Chico Horse Barn offers trail rides where you can experience Montana by horseback
just about any day of the year. You have the opportunity to become a Montana cowboy or cowgirl for a one-hour
trail ride, or make a day of it and have lunch on the trail. Children must be at least 6 years old to go on a
trail ride.
See below for additional information on rates and reservations at the Chico
Horse Barn.
Absaroka Dogsled Treks offers winter fun as you've never experienced it before. Veteran
musher Mark Nardin or one of his well trained Montana mushers will pack your lunch, harness your team of Siberian
Huskies and lead you and your team up the breathtaking Mill Creek Drainage. A dogsled trek with Absaroka Dogsled
Treks is a winter experience you will remember for a lifetime. Reservations are a must!
