The Pavilion (Capacity 40 Guests)
The Pavilion is an open air building nestled into the hillside in Grandma’s Garden and offers a great option for small to medium gatherings and meals.
Convention Center and Conference Facilities
Facing the front lawn, the Convention Center blends into the surroundings with an exterior reflecting the architecture and historic ambiance that define Chico. Inside, the exquisite design boasts a high open ceiling, exposed beams and French doors. Its full catering and kitchen facilities are equipped to accommodate any event requiring food and beverage service, from a continental breakfast during a company meeting to an exceptional multi-course, black tie dinner for a wedding celebration. Perhaps best of all, the Convention Center is designed so it can be used as one expansive open space or the three separate rooms can be partitioned into two or three separate areas, making it ideal for a variety of groups. It can accommodate a small group of 20 as easily and comfortably as a group of 180. The Lower Lodge Board Room and the Chico Wine Cellar offer a unique setting for smaller groups or breakout rooms for larger conventions.
The Convention Center is equipped with a sound system, dance floor, full bar, stone fireplace, and coat room. There are many options for setting up the rooms to best suite your meeting or gathering needs from any of the most common meeting settings to elegant expansive wedding and dining settings. We offer a quality selection of audio / video equipment including televisions, vcr, dvd, projectors, microphones, screens, and broadband internet connections. Just as you would expect at Chico Hot Springs, the Convention Center catering menus have a delicious and varied selection including snack and break items, continental to full buffet breakfasts, sumptuous lunches, appetizers, and dinner menus that include buffets or individually plated and served dinners.
The Knowles Room (Capacity 100 Guests)
Named after the couple who established Chico in 1900, Percy & Bill Knowles, this room occupies the middle of the Conference & Convention Center. Also known as the Great Room, it features a large stone fireplace and French doors opening onto the deck and the stairs leading to the front lawn.
The Broderick Room (Capacity 40 Guests)
Located on the North end of the building, this room was named after John & Oneita Broderick, an ambitious couple who owned Chico in the ’40s & ’50s. The Brodericks offered advice and some helpful hints to Mike & Eve Art, former owners of Chico Hot Springs (1973 – April 2015).
The Townsend Room (Capacity 40 Guests)
Chico’s colorful history includes a time when the hotel had a hospital wing. Patients traveled many miles to be treated or operated on by George A. Townsend, the talented resident doctor from 1912 to 1925. Named after the highly-respected doctor, the Townsend Room is at the building’s South end.
Boardroom (Capacity 20-30 Guests)
This room is located across the lawn in our Lower Lodge. It is an ideal space for smaller groups of up to 20 people around the board table or 30 people with perimeter seating.
Wine Cellar (Capacity 16 Guests)
This unique little stone building is an original part of Chico, situated behind the Warren’s Wing. It is ideal for an intimate dinner, lunch or meeting for groups of up to 16 people. The private deck on the back side of the Wine Cellar offers another outdoor option for small casual groups – perhaps an outdoor cocktail hour before an intimate dinner inside the elegant Wine Cellar.
Outdoor Canopy (for outdoor parties large and small)
Available from Memorial Day to Mid September, our outdoor canopy can accommodate up to 40 people. Canopy walls are available when needed.
