Disc Golfing

Enjoy a fun-filled game of disc golf out on our private “Ranch 635” land, where a scenic 18-hole disc golf course offers dynamic “Veteran” baskets, Fly18 teepads, and uphill, downhill, blind, long and short holes. Designed by local disc golf legend Mark “Doc” Watson, this dynamic course offers a fun challenge for beginners and seasoned pros alike.

Ground Rules:

  • Chico Hot Springs “Day Pass” is required for play. Pass is $12 per person.
  • Day Pass includes access to hot springs.

Bring your own fishing pole or stop by Deep Creek Outdoor for a rental to enjoy some fishing at our on-property Trout Pond, a short hike from our Main Lodge.

Dogsledding

Embark on an adventure in Mill Creek led by 8-10 Alaskan Husky Sled Dogs and guided by an experienced musher, with the opportunity to sit or stand as you fly past the scenic winter views of Paradise Valley. Pets and photos with the hardworking pups are available after you cross the finish line.

  • Located in Mill Creek, a 30 minute drive southeast from Chico Hot Springs. Guests will meet their guides at the trailhead.

Winter Snow Coach Tours

Our full-day Snowcoach trip from Gardiner is led by naturalist guides according to guest abilities and interests. Our guide will escort you in a private vehicle from your lodging to a Snowcoach in Yellowstone’s headquarters at Mammoth where we will join our group headed towards Old Faithful. Our guide will provide an educated and passionate interpretation of everything you encounter throughout the day including walks around several geyser basins, wildlife sightings, historic buildings and geologic features.

Deep Creek Outdoor has partnered with the region’s most accredited fly fishing school to organize lessons that cater to both beginners and seasoned anglers. 

  • Four Hour Program

Guided Fly Fishing 

Deep Creek Outdoor can reserve full and half day guided floats on the Yellowstone River for you with a highly recommended local outfitter. Guides will meet you at Chico Hot Springs and provide transportation for your fishing excursion.

Plant Foraging Hike 

Search for wild herbs on a hike to the Chico Trout Pond while learning how to harvest for home-made folk remedies, including tinctures and teas.  This class is a great compliment to the Wild Montana Tea Blending class, as you will learn to forage the specific herbs used in that class.

Guided Chico Hike 

Join the guides at Deep Creek Outdoor for a relaxing and informative hike through the onsite Ranch 635 trails at Chico Hot Springs. These trails are very accessible if you choose to explore on your own. However, we are happy to offer help finding your way around the trails, learn about the history of the area, or even if you just want some company on your hike.
