Disc Golfing
Enjoy a fun-filled game of disc golf out on our private “Ranch 635” land, where a scenic 18-hole disc golf course offers dynamic “Veteran” baskets, Fly18 teepads, and uphill, downhill, blind, long and short holes. Designed by local disc golf legend Mark “Doc” Watson, this dynamic course offers a fun challenge for beginners and seasoned pros alike.

Pond Fishing
Bring your own fishing pole or stop by Deep Creek Outdoor for a rental to enjoy some fishing at our on-property Trout Pond, a short hike from our Main Lodge.
Biking
Rent a mountain bike or e-bike for the day and explore Chico's network of private trails at Ranch 635, or embark on an adventure at one of the many nearby trails in the Absaroka-Beartooth Range.

Dogsledding
Embark on an adventure in Mill Creek led by 8-10 Alaskan Husky Sled Dogs and guided by an experienced musher, with the opportunity to sit or stand as you fly past the scenic winter views of Paradise Valley. Pets and photos with the hardworking pups are available after you cross the finish line.

Ski + Snow Shoe
Travel across the resort and beyond on a Snowshoe Safari with a local Naturalist Guide who can combine wildlife viewing and backcountry winter ecology experience for a unique excursion in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park.

Winter Snow Coach Tours

Our full-day Snowcoach trip from Gardiner is led by naturalist guides according to guest abilities and interests. Our guide will escort you in a private vehicle from your lodging to a Snowcoach in Yellowstone’s headquarters at Mammoth where we will join our group headed towards Old Faithful. Our guide will provide an educated and passionate interpretation of everything you encounter throughout the day including walks around several geyser basins, wildlife sightings, historic buildings and geologic features.

Search for wild herbs on a hike to the Chico Trout Pond while learning how to harvest for home-made folk remedies, including tinctures and teas. This class is a great compliment to the Wild Montana Tea Blending class, as you will learn to forage the specific herbs used in that class.
