Is there any better way to experience the majesty of Montana’s wilderness than on horseback? We don’t think so. Don your best Western gear and prepare to make a day of it. Rockin’ HK Outfitters offers seasonal horseback rides departing from the Chico Horse Barn, with options ranging from one- or two-hour excursions to full-day adventures.
Reservations are required. Please call (406) 333-4933 and ask for the horse barn for more information regarding reservations and pricing. The horse barn operates under permit with the Gallatin National Forest. Trail rides are a seasonal offering, and not available in the winter months.
Mother's Day 'Prairie Weeds and Wildflowers' Ride
Join us at Rockin' HK Outfitters for a truly special Mother’s Day experience - where adventure, nature, and wellness come together on the Montana prairie.
This unique two-hour guided experience begins on horseback as we explore the wide-open landscape. Along the way, we’ll pause at a scenic prairie location to discover the wildflowers and native plants growing all around us. One of our knowledgeable wranglers will share insights into the medicinal properties of these plants and how they’ve been used for generations.
This experience is all about reconnecting with the natural world and learning how the simple things just outside your door in Montana can support everyday health and wellness.
At the end of the ride, we’ll return to the barn where you’ll enjoy a warm cup of tea made from the very plants we gathered together - bringing the experience full circle.

Two Hour Mother's Day Experience: $245 per person.
- Children must be 8 years old to go on a trail ride. Ages 4 to 7 can enjoy the Pony Experience.

A trained guide will spend an hour with you and your choice of one of our gentle horses in the field above Simone’s Cabin for an equine facilitated wellness hour. This is one-on-one time to groom, pet, learn, photograph and breathe. The horse truly leads this experience, it’s designed to be an hour of connection with you and the horse.
