Is there any better way to experience the majesty of Montana’s wilderness than on horseback? We don’t think so. Don your best Western gear and prepare to make a day of it. Rockin’ HK Outfitters offers horseback rides seasonally from the Chico Horse Barn, with rides that range from shorter half-day stints to full-day adventures.
Reservations are strongly encouraged. Please call (406) 333-4933 and ask for the horse barn for more information regarding reservations and pricing. The horse barn operates under permit with the Gallatin National Forest. Trail rides are a seasonal offering, and not available in the winter months.
- Children must be 8 years old to go on a trail ride. Ages 4 to 7 can enjoy the Pony Experience.

A trained guide will spend an hour with you and your choice of one of our gentle horses in the field above Simone’s Cabin for an equine facilitated wellness hour. This is one-on-one time to groom, pet, learn, photograph and breathe. The horse truly leads this experience, it’s designed to be an hour of connection with you and the horse.
